Four Ideas
One.
When I’m doubting myself, one of my favorite questions to ask is, “But what if it does work out?”
Two.
When the inputs, or your effort, fulfill you, the outputs, or your achievement, are a bonus. When you rely on achievement to feel fulfilled, you deny yourself the opportunity to feel fulfilled in the process of getting there. But I can assure you one thing: the journey of getting there is much longer than the actual feeling of accomplishment.
When you achieve something, you’ll immediately look for the next thing; you return to the process. It’s in your best interests to focus on your inputs and find joy in your process because the process never ends, but the sense of accomplishment does.
Three.
What you focus on grows, so learn to be solution oriented rather than problem oriented.
If you choose to focus on the problem and everything wrong with your current situation, you give life the problem. You support something that doesn’t support you.
Focus on the solution and what you can make, take, and learn from your current situation, and you’ll find a path toward revival.
Four.
Three nonnegotiable principles to live by:
- You must overcome the fear of change to become the person you want to be.
- Focus on small actions, consistency, and patience to create remarkable results.
- Regret nothing on your deathbed.
