1-1-1: The Secret To Getting Started And Letting Magic Unfold

I hope you've had a great week!! Summer weather is finallyyyyyy showing up here in Seattle, and it's going to be 80 degrees today and tomorrow. I honestly feel such a shift when the sun comes out. It truly makes me feel ALIVE!

I've been locked in lately and have had so many creative juices ~flowing~. I've been working on a secret project for the last year, and I'm thinking of making the first announcement on my birthday in July. Maybe you can guess what it is?

Thank you for reading this week!

One Thing to Help You Think

Your body is a compass that constantly sends you messages.

These messages may come in the form of emotions, headaches, stomachaches, exhaustion, or even bursts of energy. However, it's easy to miss these messages because we live in a noisy world.

So take this moment to center yourself and quiet out the noise...

What have you been feeling lately that you haven't acknowledged?

What's your body trying to tell you?

Better sleep? New relationships? More self-love? Less social media?

Tuning into your internal compass and listening to your body can help you solve a lot of life's frustrations and problems.

Your headache isn't just a headache—it's your body calling, hoping you'll answer.

One Thing to Help You Grow

You don't feel capable of doing something you've never done because you've never done it before. To feel capable, you need to start doing the thing, even though you'll be bad.

Or, in other words, you need to suck first. It's just part of the game.

In my life, I've accepted that it's normal to be bad at something at first. However, I'm willing to be bad because I know the only way to get better is to be bad and learn so that I can improve.

I wasn't born a good writer. I sucked at writing for the majority of my life. But over time, I got better and better and better because I was okay with being bad and kept trying.

Had I never started, I would not be writing this email, I would not have sold over 30,000 copies of my book, You Deserve This Sh!t, and I would not be making a living as a writer.

This is your reminder and permission that you, too, can be bad at something, and you, too, will improve as long as you start and keep going.

Don't overcomplicate getting good.

Just be willing to be bad and do the work to get better.

One Thing to Help You Expand

I ask the same question to start every day.

“What can I do for the universe?”

I love asking this question because it reminds me that I don’t have to figure it all out on my own.

Maybe for you, it’s…

  • What can I do for God?
  • What can I do for source?
  • What can I do for life?

Whatever it is for you, serving something greater than yourself matters.

When you do that and trust in how you’re guided to work/create/collaborate, what happens next is pretty remarkable.

Magic unfolds.

You get out of your own way.

And a flow of endless possibilities begins.

Sometimes, the best way to figure out what to do is to surrender it to something greater than yourself.
